Larry Marine

UX Strategist and Researcher

Larry Marine started his UX career after graduating from Dr. Don Norman’s Cognitive Science program at UCSD in 1990. Don suggested that Larry become a User-Centered Research and Design consultant, and Larry took that advice. Since then, Larry has evolved the methods he learned through his experiences on over 250 projects with American Airlines, Vanguard Mutual Funds, FedEx, ProFlowers, Novartis, and more.

He’s had extraordinary results for decades in almost every domain, including medical, defense, enterprise, consumer products, shopping websites, and more. Larry credits his experiences as a Navy computer tech for teaching him to solve for the root cause, rather than just the symptoms. He learned that if you don’t accurately define the problem, the best you can hope to do is solve the wrong problem very well.

These evolved research and design methods drive exceptional results that outperform typical designs. Learn how to be a task and knowledge-oriented company, leveraging your company’s domain knowledge to more accurately solve your users’ problems and create strategic and defensible competitive advantages.
